Paste Screen Shots
Wherever possible, excel based data should be pasted into a worksheet to enable you to work with the numbers, otherwise paste screenshots. Screenshots can be –
- Moved – click on any border and drag;
- Resized – click on any corner and drag; or
- Deleted – select the image and press delete on your keyboard.
If the information to be copied is larger than your screen, you can either paste multiple screen clippings or subscribe to a specialised screen clipping program which will take scrolling screen shots.
Also, where space in the destination sheet is tight, multiple images can be stacked on top of each other. See Excel help for more info.
To paste a screen clipping into your worksheet –
- Select the cell where you want the screen clipping to be pasted;
- Click on Insert in the main Excel menu;
- Click the drop down arrow at Illustrations / Screenshot;
- Either choose an Available Window to copy an entire window;
- Or select Screen Clipping to select an area on a screen to copy.
